Clause 4.7: Reporting areas and metric categories – ISO 30414:2025

ISO 30414:2025 4.7.2: Categories of HCA metrics

What does 4.7.2 require?

Guidance that assigning human characteristics and activities to HCAs and to metrics is complicated and needs a fitted approach, so the standard sorts metrics by shared work-issue category: metrics about individuals go under workforce composition or diversity; money metrics go under costs; ratios and percentages go to whichever work-issue category fits best; metrics along the workforce life cycle (hiring, leaving) are grouped to match; and compliance training sits under compliance and ethics because it is compulsory. The categories are wide and not tied to any sector, to keep reporting consistent and objective; of all the HCAs, the one covering compliance, ethics and relations with the workforce is likeliest to differ by sector or jurisdiction.
