At the initiation of a distributed development the customer and the supplier agree a development interface agreement (DIA) specifying the appointment of the safety managers on both sides, the joint tailoring of the safety lifecycle, the activities and processes to be performed by each party, the information and work products to be exchanged, the responsibilities for the confirmation measures and the supplier's safety plan; part 11 4.10 names the DIA and the supplier's safety plan as the work products a semiconductor developer executes. This sits in clause 5, whose stated aims, per the SGS quotation, are to set out how customer and supplier interact and depend on each other, who is responsible for what, and which work products they exchange in a distributed development.
