At the start of the safety lifecycle an item-level impact analysis shall determine whether the item is a new development, a change to an existing item or a modification of the environment of an existing item; where the item or its environment is modified the analysis shall identify and describe the modifications, including design modifications (which can come from requirement changes, calibration data or operating mode changes), implementation modifications (which do not affect the specification but can affect behaviour, such as a software correction) and environment-related modifications (temperature, altitude, humidity, vibration, EMI, fuel type, installation in a new target environment such as a vehicle variant, changed operational scenarios, a different position in the vehicle); and it shall assess the impact of the modifications on functional safety and identify and describe the safety activities to be performed on that basis (design modifications during development go through change management under ISO 26262-8 clause 8).
This control maps to 1 controls across 1 other frameworks. If you already hold one of them, the evidence you collected for it is the starting point here rather than new work.
Every mapping shown was judged rather than inferred from wording similarity, and the ones that failed review are published too. See the coverage reports and what was rejected.
The graph holds this control, the 1 it maps to, and the evidence behind each claim, over MCP and REST.
