Release for production needs the safety case (6.4.8) and the relevant confirmation measure reports (6.4.9 to 6.4.12) in hand, and is granted only when the evidence, weighed with the confirmation results and above all the assessment report's recommendation, gives enough confidence that functional safety has been achieved. The release record carries the responsible person's name and signature, the version and configuration released and the date, and the hardware baseline and the embedded software baseline with its calibration data are available and documented per part 8 clause 10.
