ISO 22003-1:2022 Requirements for bodies providing audit and certification of food safety management systems
Annex C: Knowledge and skills the certification body must define per function – ISO 22003-1:2022 Requirements for bodies providing audit and certification of food safety management systems

ISO 22003-1:2022 Requirements for bodies providing audit and certification of food safety management systems C.1.11: Table C.1 item 11: Identifying hazards, allergens, labelling and regulations

What does C.1.11 require?

For the functions marked (auditing and leading; review and decision) the body sets the criteria for this item and how deep the knowledge and skill must go. The person can recognise biological, chemical and physical hazards and allergens, knows the labelling rules for food safety and the food safety regulation of the food chain category with its recognised control mechanisms, and can judge whether the organisation is able to find and meet the regulation and labelling rules that apply in the producing country and the destination country. Decision makers do not need category-specific competence here.
