Unless emissions are measured directly, the organization shall choose or build models for its quantification approach and explain and record why, taking into account how faithfully the model reflects the emissions, where it can and cannot be applied, its uncertainty and rigour, whether results can be reproduced, how acceptable it is, where it comes from and how widely recognised it is, and whether it fits the intended use.
