The organization shall set up, operate and keep up the processes it needs for communicating, both internally and externally, about the environmental management system, covering what will be communicated, when, to whom and by what means. In setting those processes up it shall take account of its compliance obligations and make sure the environmental information it communicates matches what the system itself produces and can be relied on. The organization shall reply to relevant communications about its environmental management system, and shall keep suitable documented information showing the communications it made.
