Communication processes aim to ease the exchange of information the project needs, making sure project information is produced, gathered, spread, stored and finally disposed of in a timely and suitable way. They are: planning communication (7.6.2); managing information (7.6.3); and controlling communication (7.6.4); ISO 9004 has more. The project organization should see that suitable communication processes exist and that information flows among the project's own processes, and also among the project, the originating organization, other relevant projects, the customer and the other stakeholders.
