Clause 7.2 and 7.3: Interdependent and scope-related processes – ISO 10006:2017

ISO 10006:2017 7.3.3: Scope development and control

What does 7.3.3 require?

In developing the scope, the features of the product or service the project delivers should be identified and recorded, measurably and as fully as possible, and design and development should build on them. The method for measuring these characteristics, or for assessing whether they conform to what the customer and the other stakeholders require, should be specified. It should be possible to trace process characteristics and product or service characteristics back to those parties' documented requirements. Where alternative approaches and solutions are weighed during scope development, the supporting evidence, including the analyses done and other considerations, should be documented and cited in the scope. Changes to scope are handled by change management (7.2.4).
