The guidelines are aimed at projects with these features: phases that are unique and not repeated, made up of processes and activities; a certain amount of risk and uncertainty; defined minimum results, quantified and expected within set parameters such as quality parameters; start and finish dates that are planned, within cost and resource limits that are clearly stated; staff who may be assigned temporarily to a project organization for the life of the project, that organization being set up by an originating organization (4.1.2) and liable to change as work proceeds; and a duration that may be long, during which internal and external influences change. This edition has no requirement to analyse context; that was introduced in the third edition.
The graph holds this control, the 0 it maps to, and the evidence behind each claim, over MCP and REST.
