A plan may be set out and presented in various ways: diagrams such as process maps or workflow charts; written instructions such as text, tables, document matrices, checklists or a manual; visual or electronic media; software applications; or a mix of these. The method chosen should suit the use and the users. A plan can be made up of several separate plans covering particular aspects, processes or functions, in which case the way the interfaces between them are controlled has to be set out clearly. Annex A gives examples.
