The plan may take any of several forms, such as a textual description, table, document matrix, process map, flow chart or manual, electronic or hard copy (Annex A examples). It may be broken into several documents each covering a distinct aspect such as design, purchasing, production, process control or acceptance testing, with the interfaces between them clearly defined, and an organization may prepare a plan conforming to ISO 9001 using the Annex B cross-reference matrix.
