Ireland European Union (Accessibility Requirements of Products and Services) Regulations 2023 (S.I. No. 636 of 2023) R15-2: Document, retain, renew and notify reliance on the exceptions

What does R15-2 require?

An operator relying on an exception must document the assessment, keep the relevant results for five years after the product was last made available or the service last provided, and supply a copy to the authority on request (microenterprises dealing with products need only give the relevant facts on request). Service providers claiming disproportionate burden must renew the assessment for each category or type of service when the service changes, when the compliance authority asks, and at least every five years. Operators other than microenterprises must inform the market surveillance or compliance authority when relying on an exception.
