IEEE 7000 10.3(e): Verify and validate the ethically aligned design and keep it under review

The project shall verify that the value-based requirements are fulfilled by the design's value dispositions, tracing requirements to dispositions and design features and demonstrating which values the design promotes and which it holds back; determine whether stakeholders can tolerate the remaining risk to the value-based requirements without further treatment; document the key value opportunity enhancements realised; identify more effective avoidance, mitigation or treatment options where a risk is not validated as tolerable; confirm the acceptability of the enhanced treatments and realise the enhancements; update the design documentation; record in the Case for Ethics where the treatments, enhancements and validation outcomes finally stand; and use ongoing monitoring and verification of the design to decide when it has to change for a changed context, different value priorities or new technical needs, reiterating the applicable processes.
