A corporate emergency response plan provides for central management and coordination of response to a major accident or other adverse event, with a designated qualified manager responsible for it, departmental and station plans coordinated under it, coordination with other organizations' plans, published procedures and assigned responsibilities, and a process to give authorities an accurate manifest of crew, passengers and cargo including dangerous goods; the plan is rehearsed periodically to familiarise personnel, test equipment and facilities and expose deficiencies; and the Operator should train ERP personnel, debrief every execution or rehearsal, have an emergency management centre available, centrally control external communications, and be able to establish command posts at line stations and remote locations (ORG 1.7.1 to 1.7.12).
