Where other legislation requires notifying data subjects (such as after covert measures), the notification contains at least the s 55 information, the legal basis, the storage period or criteria, recipient categories and further information where needed, especially where data were collected without the data subject's knowledge. The controller may postpone, limit or omit it while notification would endanger the s 45 tasks, public security or third parties' rights and that interest outweighs the data subject's; notifications about transfers to intelligence and certain defence authorities need their approval.
