Fair Labor Association (FLA) Workplace Code of Conduct ND.8.1: Protections for pregnant workers and new mothers

What does ND.8.1 require?

The employer applies every legal protection for pregnant workers and new mothers (maternity leave and benefits, night-work prohibitions, temporary reassignment away from hazardous work, adjusted hours, breast-feeding breaks and facilities); where the law provides none, it takes whatever steps are needed to keep pregnant women and their unborn children safe and healthy and at minimum gives paid leave for pre-natal and post-natal visits and breast-feeding breaks.
