Without prejudice to Directive 89/391/EEC, for platform workers the platform must evaluate the risks of automated monitoring and decision-making systems to their safety and health, in particular work-related accidents and psychosocial and ergonomic risks, assess whether the systems' safeguards are appropriate to the risks in the specific work environment, and introduce appropriate preventive and protective measures, with effective information, consultation and participation of platform workers or their representatives under Articles 10 and 11 of Directive 89/391/EEC. Article 12 also covers any automated system taking or supporting decisions that affect platform workers.
