The owner or operator must notify the Regional Administrator by certified mail within 10 days after a voluntary or involuntary bankruptcy proceeding under Title 11 names it as debtor (a corporate guarantor named as debtor must do likewise under the guarantee). Where the trustee or the institution issuing the bond, letter of credit or insurance goes bankrupt or loses its authority, the owner or operator is deemed without the required assurance or coverage and must establish other assurance or coverage within 60 days.
