A generator must keep a copy of each manifest it signed for three years or until it receives the copy signed by the designated facility, and then keep that signed copy for at least three years from the date the initial transporter accepted the waste. It must keep a copy of each Biennial Report and each Exception Report for at least three years from the report's due date; hazardous waste determination records are kept under 262.11(f). All retention periods extend automatically during any unresolved enforcement action or when EPA requests. An SQG is bound by (a), (c) and (d) (262.44).
