The safety case is structured in six parts: Part 1 definition of the system, subsystem or equipment (precise definition or reference with the version and modification state of every requirements, design and application document); Part 2 the quality management report (the evidence of 5.2); Part 3 safety management report (the evidence of 5.3); Part 4 technical safety report (7.2); Part 5 related safety cases (references to the safety cases of the subsystems and equipment the main safety case depends on, demonstrating that all their safety-related application conditions are met within the main safety case or passed on into its own application conditions); Part 6 conclusion (a summary of the evidence and the argument that the system is adequately safe subject to the specified application conditions). Large volumes of supporting documents may be left out if they are referenced precisely and the base concepts and approaches are clearly specified.
