Heirs may ask the controller for access, rectification, updating or deletion of a deceased person's data unless the person indicated otherwise in life; persons or institutions expressly designated by the deceased may do so according to the instructions received; for deceased children, adolescents or persons without capacity, their last legal representative may. Requesters must prove their standing with instruments recognised in Ecuadorian law, and the rights may be exercised as often as needed within the general limits.
