Energy use is minimised, efficiency improved and renewable or low-emission sources (solar, wind, hydro, geothermal, certified bioenergy) preferred where available and feasible, through a documented efficiency programme, an evaluation of on-site renewable potential and certified green power from the grid where offered. Timber and alternative fuels come only from sustainable suppliers (FSC, PEFC or equal, or verifiable legal, traceable, renewable sourcing without deforestation or exploitation). The checklist looks for efficient lighting and appliances, daylight and natural ventilation and cooling, tempered air, smart controls on lighting, unoccupied spaces, refrigeration, air conditioning and pumps, passive solar design, efficient heating, cooling, chillers and air handling, desiccant dehumidification, variable speed drives, insulation, double glazing in cold climates, heat recovery and cogeneration where feasible, and other savings measures.
This control maps to 1 controls across 1 other frameworks. If you already hold one of them, the evidence you collected for it is the starting point here rather than new work.
Every mapping shown was judged rather than inferred from wording similarity, and the ones that failed review are published too. See the coverage reports and what was rejected.
The graph holds this control, the 1 it maps to, and the evidence behind each claim, over MCP and REST.
