Connecticut Rules of Professional Conduct (Connecticut Practice Book) 1.6-a: Do not reveal information relating to the representation without consent or authority

What does 1.6-a require?

A lawyer must keep confidential everything relating to a client's representation, whatever its source, unless the client gives informed consent to disclosure, disclosure is impliedly authorised to carry the representation forward, or one of the rule's own exceptions in subsections (b), (c) or (d) applies. The duty survives the end of the relationship.
