A CDR representative must give the consumer a data-standards-compliant notice as soon as practicable after the consumer gives, amends or withdraws a collection, use or disclosure consent. A failure makes the principal liable. Until the data standards made for paragraph 8.11(1)(fa) take effect, the pre-2024 form of the rule continues (rule 506).
