Competition and Consumer (Consumer Data Right) Rules 2020
Part 4 Division 4.3: Consents given to accredited persons – Competition and Consumer (Consumer Data Right) Rules 2020

Competition and Consumer (Consumer Data Right) Rules 2020 4.16: Rule 4.16: honour the consumer's election to delete redundant data

A consumer who has given a consent may, when giving it or any time before it expires, elect in writing or through the dashboard that the collected data and anything derived from it be deleted when it becomes redundant. The rule does not apply where the accredited person has a general policy of deleting redundant data and told the consumer so when seeking consent, and does not require deletion of derived data de-identified under the de-identification process before the source data became redundant.
