Codex General Principles of Food Hygiene (CXC 1-1969, Rev. 2022) 15.2: 15.2 Transport conveyance and container requirements

Where necessary, conveyances and bulk containers are designed and built so they do not contaminate food or packaging, can be cleaned effectively and, where necessary, disinfected and dried, allow different foods, or food and non-food items, to be kept apart, protect against contamination including dust and fumes, hold the humidity, temperature, atmosphere and other conditions required to stop harmful or unwanted microbial growth and spoilage, and allow those conditions to be checked.
