Chapter 3.2.4: Influencing business partners – Cefic Responsible Care Management Framework

Cefic Responsible Care Management Framework 3.2.4-b: Responsible sourcing (maturity example, question 4.1)

What does 3.2.4-b require?

At Level 1 the organisation meets its regulatory obligations and has a formal responsible sourcing process; at Level 2 a policy sets its approach and suppliers are asked to acknowledge it and support the CSR approach through their collaboration; at Level 3 procurement risks are mapped and environmental criteria enter the selection of goods, equipment and services, with lifetime energy performance a criterion for energy-using purchases; at Level 4 the organisation invests in more environmentally respectful purchases and sets priorities from impact assessments.
