Module 5: Business strategy – CDP (formerly Carbon Disclosure Project)

CDP (formerly Carbon Disclosure Project) 5.11-other: Questions 5.11.3, 5.11.4 and 5.11.9: Engagement with clients, investees and other value chain stakeholders

Financial institutions describe their environmental engagement strategy with clients and with investees (type and details of engagement, share of portfolio or of client-associated Scope 3 emissions covered, escalation, measures of success, such as encouraging science-based targets); all organisations describe engagement with customers, investors and other value chain stakeholders on environmental issues, the coverage and the effect of the engagement. CDP's ambition is engagement strategies with quantitative measures of success; climate leadership points require more than half of clients, investees or customers (or their emissions) to be covered.
