An approved authority for more than one school must distribute all recurrent funding under a needs-based funding arrangement it determines. Either it passes to each school the amount worked out for that school under the funding formula, or (as an approved system authority) it provides a per-student amount reflecting the resources a student with minimal disadvantage needs, plus loadings for students with disability, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students, socio-educational disadvantage, low English proficiency, location and size, and the arrangement is publicly available and transparent.
