Australian Dangerous Goods Code Edition 7.8 (Consignor and Transport Duties)
Packing: general provisions for packagings, IBCs and large packagings (Part 4) – Australian Dangerous Goods Code Edition 7.8 (Consignor and Transport Duties)

Australian Dangerous Goods Code Edition 7.8 (Consignor and Transport Duties) 4.1.1.3: Use packagings that conform to a successfully tested design type

What does 4.1.1.3 require?

Unless the Code says otherwise, each packaging, IBC or large packaging other than an inner packaging must match a design type that passed the relevant performance tests (6.1.5 for packagings, 6.3.5 for infectious substance packagings, 6.5.6 for IBCs, 6.6.5 for large packagings), evidenced by the UN packaging mark. IBCs built before the vibration test was introduced may stay in service, and a packaging may match several tested design types and carry more than one mark.
