Australia Public Governance, Performance and Accountability Act 2013 (PGPA Act)
Part 2-4: use and management of public resources, banking, borrowing, investment, indemnities and insurance, waivers and act of grace, gifts and liability for loss, Ministers' approvals and notices (sections 50 to 72) – Australia Public Governance, Performance and Accountability Act 2013 (PGPA Act)

Australia Public Governance, Performance and Accountability Act 2013 (PGPA Act) 72: Minister to inform Parliament of company and body events: table a notice as soon as practicable when the Commonwealth or a corporate entity forms or helps form a company or relevant body, becomes or ceases to be a member, has its membership rights varied, acquires or disposes of shares, or has share rights varied, in the form and with the particulars the rules prescribe

What does 72 require?

Certain corporate events must be reported to the Parliament. The Minister responsible for the event must have a notice tabled in each House as soon as practicable after the Commonwealth or a corporate Commonwealth entity forms or helps to form a company or a relevant body (a body of a kind the rules prescribe); joins or leaves such a company or body; has its rights as a member changed; buys, subscribes for or sells shares in a company; or has the rights attaching to its shares changed. The notice takes whatever form and carries whatever particulars the rules prescribe. Events arising from authorised investments, Future Fund or other prescribed investments, unclaimed property passing under the Corporations Act, or bodies run for an intelligence or security agency or listed law enforcement agency are outside the duty, which the Finance Minister and Treasurer cannot delegate.
