Australia Poisons Standard (SUSMP)
Part 2 Division 2: labels – Australia Poisons Standard (SUSMP)

Australia Poisons Standard (SUSMP) s29-31: Include the Appendix F safety directions and warning statements and the Appendix E first aid instructions required for the poison, grouped under SAFETY DIRECTIONS and FIRST AID headings

What does s29-31 require?

Where a poison is listed in Appendix F clause 4, its label must carry each required safety direction grouped as a distinct section headed SAFETY DIRECTIONS in bold capitals, and each required warning statement grouped immediately after that heading (or before the directions for use if there are no safety directions). Where it is listed in Appendix E clause 3, the label must carry each required first aid statement grouped under FIRST AID in bold capitals; where a primary pack holds inner containers needing different first aid, each inner container carries its own and the outer pack says FIRST AID: See inner packs. Human medicines labelled with the required advisory statements and registered agricultural and veterinary chemical products are exempt, and first aid is not required for Schedule 3, 4 or 8 poisons for human internal use.
