Where material is class 2 material within s 107(1)(f) to (l) (R 18+ films and computer games, Category 1 restricted publications and other material likely R 18+), end-users in Australia can access it, and the service is provided from Australia (or the material is hosted in Australia), the provider or host may be required to take all reasonable steps, within 24 hours or a longer period allowed, either to remove or cease hosting the material or to make access to it subject to a restricted access system declared by the Commissioner under s 108 (an instrument that must be in force at all times). Compliance to the extent capable; 500 penalty units; formal warning (s 122); revocation (s 123); public statement for repeat terms of use breaches (s 123A).
