If any proposed dealing will involve GM micro-organisms, or hands will touch GMOs that could survive on them after leaving, the facility must have either its own wash basin with taps that work without being touched by hand, or another way to decontaminate hands. The note says hand decontamination is an important way to prevent unintended release of GMOs; a basin with hand-operated taps is not acceptable because the taps can spread contamination, while hands-free dispensers of decontaminant solution are an acceptable alternative.
