All providers, registered or not, comply with the law, the NDIS code of conduct and the NDIS complaints process. Providers seeking registration go through verification (lower-risk supports and sole allied health practitioners registered with Ahpra or full members of a recognised professional association: identity, legally required qualifications or licences, recency where the qualification is not directly linked, insurance, internal complaints and incident systems, worker screening; re-verified every 12 months) or third-party certification against core and specialist practice standards (higher-risk supports, including early childhood supports; provisional registration pending certification within 12 months, annual surveillance, recertification about every three years).
