A person registered during a financial year as an NVR registered training organisation, or as a CRICOS provider for which ASQA is the ESOS agency, pays the annual registration charge for each registration by the date ASQA notifies (no earlier than 30 days after notice), or by the notified instalment dates; a pro rata refund applies when registration ends. Unpaid charges are a debt to the Commonwealth (s 232B), and non-payment by the due date is a ground for cancelling registration (s 39(1)). Application and other fees are set by ministerial determination (s 232; the Fees Determination 2026 and Charges Determination 2026 were registered in 2026).
