PoCT training is proportionate to the device and test complexity, the volume of testing, how often each operator tests and what quality assessment shows. A qualified trainer delivers a defined curriculum that covers, at least, labelling, collection technique, the testing procedure, interpreting and following up results, recognising and acting on critical PoCT results, documenting results, causes of wrong results, troubleshooting, alternative methods, cleaning and maintaining the device, running quality control, and ordering and storing reagents, supplies and control material. Operators are instructed, complete the training and are deemed competent before they test; they take refresher training, stay current and are recertified; the training is reviewed for fitness at intervals; and roles, knowledge, experience and skills are reviewed regularly and whenever a PoCT device or service is introduced or changed.
This control maps to 1 controls across 1 other frameworks. If you already hold one of them, the evidence you collected for it is the starting point here rather than new work.
Every mapping shown was judged rather than inferred from wording similarity, and the ones that failed review are published too. See the coverage reports and what was rejected.
The graph holds this control, the 1 it maps to, and the evidence behind each claim, over MCP and REST.
