Where a non-drinking water service flushes toilets or urinals, it must achieve efficient use by urinal flushing of at most 2.5 litres per stall or 600 mm of continuous wall and dual flush closets at 6 and 3 litres or 4.5 and 3 litres, or equivalent measures; flush volumes may vary within stated tolerances and vacuum drainage is exempt. Deemed-to-Satisfy B3D5 requires dual flush closets at 3 Star WELS and 6 or 4.5 litres for a full flush and urinals at 2 Star WELS and 2.5 litres, not set-cycled. New South Wales replaces the clause because of BASIX.
