Coordination means working together so each person can meet its duty without leaving gaps in protection, planning and organising activities jointly. That includes identifying when and how each control measure is implemented and making sure they complement each other, which may involve scheduling work so each duty holder works separately or at the right time and arranging work so precautions or pre-conditions are in place before particular work starts. Where coordination is ineffective, parties should consult further to decide what should change.
