Section 6: What is effective consultation with other duty holders – Australia Model Code of Practice: Work Health and Safety Consultation, Cooperation and Coordination

Australia Model Code of Practice: Work Health and Safety Consultation, Cooperation and Coordination 6.1: 6.1 Cooperate by following agreed arrangements, not obstructing and responding to reasonable requests

Cooperation means putting into effect arrangements agreed in consultation and not acting in a way that compromises what other duty holders are doing for health and safety. When another duty holder approaches a PCBU wanting to consult, it should not obstruct communication and should respond to reasonable requests to help them meet their duty.
