Australia Model Code of Practice: How to Manage Work Health and Safety Risks 5a: 5 Review controls on the triggers the Regulations set

Controls should be reviewed regularly to confirm they work as planned, without waiting for an incident. A review is required when a control is not effective, before a workplace change likely to create a new or different risk the control may not handle, when a new hazard or risk is identified, when consultation results indicate a review is needed, and when a health and safety representative asks for one. Managing risk is ongoing and needs attention especially when changes affect work activities.
