Where one control is not enough, several may be combined to minimise the risk as far as reasonably practicable, and in most cases a combination gives the best result. The PCBU should check that chosen controls do not bring new hazards, such as electrical contact with overhead power lines, or plant such as elevating work platforms crushing or entangling people. Any new hazard that does arise must itself be controlled.
