Ongoing obligations of registered practitioners and students (Part 7 Division 11) – Australia Health Practitioner Regulation National Law 2009

Australia Health Practitioner Regulation National Law 2009 s131B: ss 131A and 131B Practise and advertise only under the registered name, a notified alternative name or a business name

A practitioner may nominate an alternative name to the Board (the Board may refuse to record an obscene, impracticable, title-like or contrary to public interest name, s 131A). In providing or advertising a health service the practitioner uses only the name on the National or Specialists Register, the notified alternative name recorded there, or a business name. A breach is not an offence but grounds for action. In force since 1 July 2024 under the 2022 amendments.
