Accreditation is renewed only on evidence of continuing professional development. The accredited individual must accrue a minimum of 20 CPD points in each 12-month period aligned to their renewal date, from any category subject to the Schedule 5 conditions. To qualify, an activity must extend knowledge or skills relevant to current and future practice, contribute to the accredited class and category, promote outcomes that better serve the community, and not be part of normal income generation. Points are weighted per hour: 2.5 for formal education and training with formal assessment, 1.5 for short courses and for seminars, workshops and conferences led by recognised professionals (counting only the relevant portion), 1 for non-income-generating workplace learning that demonstrably extends knowledge (maximum 10 hours), 0.5 for private study of journals and texts in the accredited field or business skills (maximum 20 hours, with records of date, title, author and time), 1 for voluntary service to the profession such as committees, peer review, mentoring and standards work (maximum 20 hours), 1 for preparing and presenting course or conference material (up to 10 hours per paper), 1 for other structured activities meeting the Scheme's requirements, and a rate to be announced for FPA Australia sessions deemed critical. The individual keeps records that can be independently verified, showing the date and category of each activity, a description and its relevance to accredited practice, the evidence of participation and the hours claimed, and produces them with the renewal and at audit.
The graph holds this control, the 0 it maps to, and the evidence behind each claim, over MCP and REST.
