Australia Food Standards Code Standard 1.2.1 Requirements to Have Labels or Otherwise Provide Information 1.2.1-9(1)-(5): Provide warning, GM, irradiation and similar information for retail food that has no label

Where a retail food is not required to bear a label, certain information must still accompany it or be displayed with it: the royal jelly warning statement, genetically modified and cell-cultured food information, irradiated food information, and for vending machines the advisory statements and allergen declarations. Unpackaged meat and kava have their own items, such as the prescribed name of fermented meat and the kava statements with supplier details. Use and storage directions must accompany unpackaged food, and offal, formed meat and formed fish information must be declared to the buyer.
