The provider takes reasonable steps so that a prospective student with a disability can seek admission to, or apply for enrolment in, the institution on the same basis as one without a disability and without discrimination, and in deciding whether to offer a place in the institution or in a course treats the prospective student on the same basis. From 1 August 2026 this applies to children seeking enrolment in educational early childhood services. Measures that evidence compliance include enrolment information that addresses disability needs and is accessible in a range of formats, enrolment procedures the student or associate can complete without undue difficulty, and accessible information about entry requirements, course choices, progression and settings (s 4.3).
