Australia Commonwealth Child Safe Framework (2020) r4: Requirement 4: Publish an annual child safety statement by 31 October

By 31 October each year the entity publishes an annual statement of compliance with the Framework for the previous year, in its annual report or as a standalone statement, containing at least a statement of commitment to child safety, a description of its interactions with children, the outcome of its child safety risk assessment (for example the overall risk rating) and mitigating actions, whether it complies with the Framework and measures to improve, child safety initiatives in the year, and measures applied to funded third parties; entities with more contact add training completed, policy reviews and consultations with children, families, carers and communities. The entity then tells the National Office for Child Safety and sends it the statement or a link.
