Standard 6 Evaluation and continuous improvement – Australia AMC Standards for Assessment and Accreditation of Primary Medical Programs (2023)

Australia AMC Standards for Assessment and Accreditation of Primary Medical Programs (2023) 6.3: Feedback and reporting: evaluation, improvement and review outcomes reported through the provider's governance and administration and shared with students and those who deliver the program; and evaluation results made available to stakeholders with an interest in graduate outcomes, particularly prevocational training providers, whose views are considered in continuous improvement

What does 6.3 require?

Evaluation closes the loop only when people hear the result. What evaluation, improvement and review find is reported through the provider's governance and administrative structures and shared with students and with the staff and clinicians who deliver the program. Evaluation results also go to those outside the school who have a stake in how graduates turn out, above all the prevocational training providers who employ them as interns, and what those stakeholders say feeds back into the ongoing evaluation and improvement of the program.
