ASIC Market Integrity Rules (Securities Markets) 2017 (Australia) 2.5: Appoint qualified designated trading representatives with unique identifiers, and own every trading message

A trading participant must have at least one DTR, ensure each DTR is an authorised representative suitably qualified and experienced who has shown knowledge of the dealing rules before submitting messages, allocate each a unique identifier and keep DTR records; the participant is responsible for the accuracy, integrity and bona fides of every trading message carrying its identifier. Amendment Instrument 2026/574 (registered 17 September 2026, in force 17 March 2028) changes this rule.
